A Nigerian technology company, building from Kano.
ZERODAONE LTD was incorporated in Nigeria on 17 June 2026 as a private company limited by shares, registration number 9620327. We build and operate software products for African users, and we intend to do it across more than one domain: software, hardware, research, and new ventures.
The premise is simple. Most of the software Nigerians use every day was designed somewhere else, for somewhere else, and adapted afterwards — if at all. Products built here, by people who live with the same constraints, come out differently: different assumptions about connectivity and cost, different defaults on privacy, different ideas about what a group conversation or a property transaction actually looks like. That difference is the company.
What we build
Two products are in the portfolio today, and a third area of work is in early development.
- MyProperties — a real estate and services marketplace for Nigeria: property to rent, buy or lease, vetted trade and design professionals, building materials, and verified partners. Built and deployed; pre‑launch. More
- Zaure — business messaging for Nigerian SMEs on the open Matrix protocol: encrypted by default, hosted in Nigeria, with automation and agents for business workflows. In development for iOS, Android and web. More
- Compliance and regulatory infrastructure — verifiable evidence for data‑protection and financial supervision in African markets. In early development; not yet a released product.
Where we are
Kano. It is Northern Nigeria’s commercial centre, it is under‑served by the technology industry relative to its size, and it is where the founder is from. Being based here is a deliberate choice rather than an accident of biography: the products are better for being built close to users who are usually an afterthought.
How we work
- Privacy and data protection are defaults, not upgrades. Not a premium tier, not a settings toggle, not something you earn by paying more.
- Open protocols over proprietary lock‑in. Where an open standard exists and is good, we build on it rather than inventing a closed substitute. Zaure runs on Matrix for exactly this reason.
- Ship, then say so. We would rather describe a product that exists than announce one that does not. Where something is still in development, this site says so.
- Small team, direct work. Everyone builds. We are not structured for layers.
